Music and Art in Park City
Besides the live music offered at the local bars and clubs, the summer in Park City is home to many music festivals. "Music in the Mountains", Park City's annual summer-long festival, offers a varied schedule of musical happenings throughout town. The Utah Symphony performs open-air concerts at Deer Valley Resort, Saturday nights during July and August. While local artists perform every Wednesday night in Park City throughout the summer.
Base Camp visitors have the opportunity to experience spectacular concerts by some of the world's top performers during these multi-day events, including Park City's annual Fold & Bluegrass Festival and the third annual Park City International Jazz Festival. The long-standing Park City International Music Festival brings the most promising students and gifted teachers from around the world.
Local Trips
Park City's location makes it accessible to a variety of interesting places to explore. A short drive will take you to the downtown Heber, nestled in the beautiful Hebe Valley, where time seems to stand still. You can continue down to the amazing Provo Canyon, where the Provo river winds among the steep sides of Mt. Timponogas. Make a stop at Robert Redford's Sundance resort and take an art class or jump on the Heber Creeper for a train ride you'll never forget.
